Mosaic 2023
Many Mosaic 2023 stories focused on the hardships of a local tough economy. We wrote about food banks facing rising demand, families squeezed into shared housing and students facing teacher shortages. But we also told heartening stories about a restaurant owner caring for workers, a dad finding support for his autistic son and clinics providing health care.
Mosaic 2022
As the pandemic eased its grip, Mosaic covered community engagement — efforts such as those providing a retail outlet for local artists, supporting LGBT Pacific Islanders, or running a music festival, a coffee shop, or skateboard shop. We also wrote about how video gamers cope with harassment and how teachers deal with fears of school shootings.
Mosaic 2021
Many stories in 2021 focused on the impact the Covid-19 pandemic had on everyday people - health workers, educators, students, artists, and small business owners. Others turned a light on environmental issues, homelessness, and young immigrants. All reflect the realities of living in the South Bay today.
